DEAN COTTON

After working in a variety of education and care settings, in 1999 Dean Cotton pursued his interest in behaviour and started work at a school for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. During this time, he trained the staff team in positive behaviour strategies resulting in a 95% reduction of serious incidents, exclusions were also reduced to zero.
Dean completed a Masters Degree in Teaching and Learning at Leicester University and founded Positive Behaviour Strategies Ltd. Dean is a Principal Team Teach Tutor, Independent Researcher, Behaviour Consultant, Conference Speaker in the UK and abroad.
Kathy McCallum
(Senior Team Teach Tutor & Behaviour Management Trainer)
Kathy worked with adults with learning disabilities and autism before working in a school for students with complex needs. In 2015 Kathy pursued a career in behaviour management and became a senior Team Teach tutor whilst continuing to support young people within the school. Kathy has trained many mainstream schools, special schools, children’s homes and adult services and has a wealth of experience supporting these services.
Kathy joined Positive Behaviour Strategies in 2019 and has already received amazing feedback from the people she trained.
